Spring Lake Golf Club is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Middle Island, New York. Spring Lake Golf Club has the 18-hole Thunderbird Golf Course and the 9-hole Sandpiper Golf Course.

Spring Lake Golf Club came into being when Long Island potato farmers Herman, Fred and Charles Jurgens teamed up with golf course designer/builder Charles Martin. Together they transformed 180 wooded acres in Middle Island, New York into the golf facility we see today. Spring Lake opened to the public in 1967.

The Thunderbird is an 18-hole course with meandering fairways and large undulating greens. From the Championship tees, it is an impressive 7,035 yards long, offering players an honest challenge as well as the opportunity to use every club in their bag.
